Assalamualaikum Blogger
This evening I done an experiment and I am so happy that it turned out to be a success. I have added a photo of my end result. I will explain here what equipment you need and the method.
Equipment:
1 empty glass
1 glass 3/4 full of cold tap water
spoon
canola oil
food colouring (I used yellow and red cause we only had those colours but the more colours you have the better)
a pair of gloves
Method:
1.Wear your gloves
2. pour 1/4 cup of oil into the empty glass
3.add a few drop of all the different food colouring colours into the oil
4.mix the oil and food colouring using the spoon for 30 seconds
5. pour the oil mixture into the glass with water.
6. watch the experiment unfold in front of your eyes
I had a lot of fun doing this experiment. I enjoyed how the colours were popping out of the oil in to the water. The thing that I found tricky was vlogging it because I kept making mistakes not with the experiment but with my talking and had to keep restarting so in the end I just took a photo of the end result instead of a video. I was super amazed that this experiment actually worked. Give this experiment a go let me know how you went.
Bye:) End result
Kia Ora Hamzah,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Charlotte and I am a blog commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. WOW, I thought the experiment that you did was awesome.
It would’ve been very cool to see a video of your experiment, but I really like how you included a reason why. I agree, it is hard to film vlogs sometimes!
Do you have any tips about how to do the experiment for your readers? What did you find worked really well?
I have had a look at the activities set out for the Summer Learning Journey, and can not see this one! Make sure you are doing the 2020-2021 Summer Learning Journey activities, this way you can be earning points, and can get into the draw to win some awesome prizes! You can find them here.

Summer Learning Journey
Hello Charlotte
ReplyDeleteIt was great fun doing the experiment. One tip that I could give my readers is that to use cold tap water and not hot or super cold water, Otherwise the experiment doesn't work very well.
I misunderstood the activity. I thought you had to do your own one. My main focus on the Summer Learning Journey will be to make sure I read the task properly.
