The first line must have five syllables, the second line must have seven syllables, and the third line must have five syllables. We were given three slides to complete by creating haiku poems , I have also created a audio recording of me saying my haiku poems. I have uploaded my slides for you guys to see. Hope you guys like it.

Which one doesn't belong

 Good afternoon Bloggers

Today 's task was about which one doesn't belong in that spot. We were given 10 slides and each slide had 4 pictures and we had to spot the difference. This task was quite fun but also challenging because we had to look really closely for differences. Sometimes things will be in front of you and you won't be able to see it so you have to focus.

I have a challenge for you guys below. I have made a slide of four different pictures of cars, can you spot which one doesn't belong there There is more than one answer. Please put your answers in the comments.

Here it is. I hope you guys have fun doing this challenge have a nice day BYE:)!!!!!$$

Rise up (step it up and kick start)

 Hello bloggers

For this activity we had to write a chorus for a song. My chorus is about me believing in myself. I found it hard to come up with a chorus but once I had done the first line it got easier. I have uploaded a video of me rapping my chorus and also have added a template with my chorus lyrics. And the background is of a guy who believe in himself and will succeed. I am not that good at singing so I thought I would just rap it for you. I am very shy doing this task but since I have to do it I hope you guy enjoy it. let me know which one you like more? BYE:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Optical Illusions

Good morning Bloggers

For this activity we had to make an optical illusion. An optical illusion is art using geometric patterns and shapes. I have done mine, using google drawing and the shape I used was circle. I started with a big circle and kept repeating my circles by making them smaller and smaller. I used two colours white and black. The easy part was colouring in the circles and the difficult part was adding more and more circles and adjusting the size of the circle.  Let me know what you guys think of my optical illusion?

Here is my optical illusion. Hope you like it.

Tanerore

 Hello Bloggers

Today is our last day at school. We finished at 12:30pm so I decided to do some activities from the Summer learning Journey. This activity is about Tanerore which is the son of Tama Nui te ra. Tanerore is the personification of shimmering air as he  performs a haka for his mother. In this activity we are asked to create a kowhaiwhai using either drawing on a paper or on a template. I have done mine on a template.

The kowhaiwhai that I created represent love for the summer. It was really fun creating the Kowhaiwhai, the  easy part was coping the Koru but very difficult for me to think of the pattern.  So I made mine into heart shapes to represent love for summer.

What do you guys think of my kowhawhai?

What are you doing today:)

Guten Tag Bloggers!

New Zealand's native language is Maori. Te reo Maori is  now being used more often and we are taught in schools some simple words and sentences. Pappa Jarrod at our school teaches us Maori phrases. A lot of roads in New Zealand have Maori words.

For today's task we were given slides to fill in. I have uploaded my completed slides for you guys to see. I have learned many things from this task. One thing I have learnt is that takaro poitukohu means playing basketball. The thing that i found challenging was how to pronounce the words correctly in Maori.  I had fun singing the song especially when it had names of suburbs that i've been to for example I have been to Onehunga.

I hope you enjoyed my post.Let me know what Maori words you know.(Goodbye:)

Insect art

 Hello bloggers

Did you know that recently a new specie of a tree hopper was discovered, it was named after Lady Gaga. It was name after the singer to improve awareness of this unique insect.

We have been asked for this task to create and art project using things you will find in your garden. I went outside to look for items I could use to make my insect art work. My sister and I used Leaves, sticks and flowers to create a Butterfly. We took a photo together of both our butterflies that we had made.

It was really hard to find things because I was doing it in the dark but we created our butterflies in the house. I've  named my butterfly Christmas seed because I have created my art work close to Christmas, and also because its red and green. The one on the left is mine.

Here is my art work that I have created: Christmas seed

What do you think of my insect that I created please comment below

SLJ Activity 3 (Fishy False Teeth!!!)

Anneyeong Haseyo Bloggers

Today we have learnt how to make a comic strip. One of the task was, that we had to watch a video that had no talking and we were given a template of slides with empty boxes where we had to make conversations between the characters. I think my learning went great because there was so much I could add. I was using my imagination to make the comic interesting. I haven't done comics before in school so this was  new for me.   Has anyone done something like this at school this year?  Please take a look at what  I have done below and let me know if you liked it or what you would change about it.

This is my comic strip:

Go on a treasure hunt with Nano girl

Assalamualaikum Blogger

This evening I done an experiment and I am so happy that it turned out to be a success. I have added a photo of my end result. I will explain here what equipment you need and the method.

Equipment:

1 empty glass

1 glass 3/4 full of cold tap water

spoon

canola oil

food colouring (I used yellow and red cause we only had those colours but the more colours you have the better)

a pair of gloves

Method:

1.Wear your gloves

2. pour 1/4 cup of oil into the empty glass

3.add a few drop of all the different food colouring colours into the oil

4.mix the oil and food colouring using the spoon for 30 seconds

5. pour the oil mixture into the glass with water.

6. watch the experiment unfold in front of your eyes

I had a lot of fun doing this experiment. I enjoyed how the colours were popping out of the oil in to the water.  The thing that I found tricky was vlogging it because I kept making mistakes not with the experiment but with my talking and had to keep restarting so in the end I just took a photo of the end result instead of a video. I was super amazed that this experiment actually worked. Give this experiment a go let me know how you went.

Bye:)                                            End result

Your comments count

Bonjour Bloggers

Today is the first day of the SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) for 2020 - 2021.  I hope you guys have all had an awesome year, I know Covid gave us all a shock but we have stayed strong together and hopefully we are able to get rid of it. The first activity on SJL is about leaving a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment on other students blogs.

I have taken a screenshot of a comment I wrote on a students blog  from Waikowhai  primary school. I think my comment is a quality comment because I have left a positive  comment by complementing his post and I have asked him to proofread his work and I have also asked a question so hopefully he will reply back to me.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Let me know what you think of my comment that I left for Mahdi.

Bye:)
